beaches for shelling?

A: All twenty miles of white sand beach are good for shelling.
Q: What is there to do on the Islands?
A: Shelling, bicycling, swimming, tennis, golf, fishing, racquetball, canoeing and kayaking, fitness club, movie theater, live theaters, art galleries, nature hiking, shopping and just plain relaxing.
Q: Where can we ride bicycles?
A: Sanibel Island has 26 miles of bike paths.
Q: What hours are the shops open?
A: Most shops open at 10:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM.
Q: Where can we park to have access to the beach?
A: Parking is available for $.75 per hour at four different places on Sanibel: Lighthouse and Fishing Pier, Gulfside City Park, Tarpon Bay Road Parking Lot and Bowman's Beach. Turner's Beach on Captiva Island is free of charge. The free Visitors Guide includes a map that shows the location of the above beach parking lots.
Q: What is the nearest airport to the Sanibel and Captiva Islands?
A: Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Ft. Myers. Approximately 30
minutes (traffic dependent) to Sanibel.
